Our story begins in 1991 when JIM LIFTON had a vision of what he liked to do best...VACATION!

Living through several New England winters, he consistently longed for effortless days and festive nights. He often wondered, could he create a place, an eatery, here in New England, where people could escape for a few hours and revel in the sights, sounds and tastes of the worlds favorite vacation spots? To actually feel like you were on vacation!

Be it CANCUN or St. Kitts, Nassau or New Orleans, this was his dream.

From this dream THE IGUANA CANTINA was born.
